Quintiesse Lasalle Single Large Wall Lantern - Western Bronze

This is the largest single wall lantern in the Lasalle collection, built for entrances that can take a bit of scale, wide porches, gable end walls, or either side of a substantial front door. It carries the same transitional country design as the rest of the range, with a curved arm supporting a clear glass jar, but at this size it becomes more of a statement piece than a background fitting.

The Western Bronze finish

The body is aluminium, finished in Western Bronze for a warm, weathered look rather than a flat or shiny one. Quintiesse describes many of its bronze and antiqued finishes as hand applied, which on a fitting this size is more noticeable, the play of light across the patina becomes part of the piece rather than a minor detail. It works well against stone porches, painted render, or exposed brick.

How it works

It takes a single E27 bulb, not supplied, and will dim if you fit dimmable bulbs, though standard bulbs will not dim on their own. The IP44 rating means it is protected against water splashing from any direction, so it is designed to live outside on an exterior wall rather than in a sheltered indoor spot. There is no adjustable drop; it fixes flush to the wall plate.

With a width of 28cm and a projection of 30.5cm, this size suits wide entrances, double doors, or gable end walls where a smaller lantern would look lost. It also carries well as a matching pair flanking a grander porch or a deep canopy where the extra projection helps it stand clear of the wall.
