Quintiesse Lakehouse Single Small Chain Lantern - Aged Zinc with Driftwood Grey

The Single Small Chain Lantern is the compact, single light version in the Lakehouse family, designed to hang rather than sit flush to a wall. It has the same relaxed, weathered character as the rest of the range, scaled down for porches, entranceways and covered walkways where a single point of light is all that's needed.

Finished in a distressed Aged Zinc with Driftwood Grey trim rings, the lantern pairs weathered metal with clear seeded glass panels that give the light a gentle, textured quality rather than a hard glare. Quintiesse describes many of its glass elements as mouth blown, one of a number of artisan techniques, alongside hand applied patinas and brushed finishes, that the brand draws on across its collections.

How it works

It takes a single E27 LED bulb, not supplied, and hangs from an adjustable chain with a drop range of 48.3cm to 200.7cm. It's dimmable if dimmable bulbs are fitted. As a Class I fitting, it needs an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its small footprint (18.4cm deep) makes it a natural fit for a front porch, a covered entranceway, either side of a door, or hung along a pergola or walkway where several might be used together. At 2.7kg it's light enough for most standard fixing points. The adjustable drop is worth checking against your ceiling height, particularly if you're hanging it somewhere with a sloped porch roof or want a specific clearance above a doorway.
