Seven alabaster spheres cluster together to form one of the most dramatic pieces in the Kepler collection. Each stone shade glows softly from within, and grouped together they create a sculptural composition rather than a conventional multi light pendant, built for spaces that can take a real style statement.

Brushed gold and solid alabaster

Every shade in this cluster is carved from a solid block of natural alabaster, so the pale veining and cloud like markings running through the stone are unique to each sphere and to each cluster produced. The spheres sit on brushed gold finished steel wiring, a warm, slightly textured metal tone that complements the translucency of the stone and works equally well in a contemporary scheme or a warmer, more traditional interior.

How it works

Light comes from seven integrated LED sources built into the fitting, together rated at 3544 lumens with a warm white 3000K colour temperature. Because the LEDs are integrated rather than replaceable bulbs, there is nothing extra to buy for the light source itself, though dimming will only work if the pendant is wired through a compatible LED dimmer switch. The cluster hangs on seven suspension wires with an adjustable drop, giving a hanging range from 25cm up to 265.4cm so it can be set precisely for the space. It is Class II double insulated, so no earth connection is required, though we would always recommend installation by a qualified electrician given the fitting's size and weight.

Where it works best

At over two metres of maximum drop and spanning 45.6cm across, this is a fitting for generous vertical spaces: stairwells, double height entrance halls, or a galleried landing where it can be seen from more than one level. It also reads well as a dining room centrepiece or a living room focal point. At 35.2kg, it is a substantial fitting, so check that your ceiling has a secure, load rated fixing point before installation.
