Quintiesse Harrow Single Table Lamp - Silver

The Harrow takes the traditional ceramic table lamp and gives it a cleaner, more contemporary line. A crisp silver grey base and a softly tactile shade mean it reads as understated rather than decorative, so it slots into a room without competing with anything already there.

The silver finish

The base is ceramic, finished in a cool silver grey with a fine textured surface that catches light rather than sitting flat, so it has more presence than a plain painted finish would. Steel fittings support a faux silk shade, which softens the light the lamp throws and adds a bit of sheen against the matte ceramic below. It works well next to brushed metals, pale timber and quieter, muted fabrics, whether that is on a console, a sideboard or a nightstand.

How it works

It runs on a single E27 bulb, which is not included. The Harrow is dimmable, though only if you fit dimmable bulbs, so it is worth choosing the bulb with that in mind if you want flexibility over the mood of the room. As a Class I fitting, it needs an earthed supply and should be wired in by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Being a table lamp rather than an overhead fitting, the Harrow is equally at home in a living room, bedroom, dining room or hallway. It makes a good bedside light for reading before sleep, sits comfortably on a hallway console for a warm welcome home, or works as a pair on a dining sideboard to soften the light from a central pendant or chandelier.
