Quintiesse Gilda 1 Light Wall Light - Heritage Brass

There is a softness to Gilda in heritage brass that comes from pairing warm metal with a pale, stone like backplate. A clear glass globe sits on a heritage brass stem finished with contrasting rivets, mounted against a faux alabaster backplate with a gentle mineral texture. Rather than the graphic contrast of the darker finish in this range, this version leans toward a quiet, glowing warmth, more like a piece of decorative jewellery than a standard bathroom fitting.

The heritage brass and faux alabaster finish

Here the stem and rivets are finished in heritage brass, a warm, slightly aged gold tone, set against a faux alabaster backplate designed to echo the soft, veined texture of natural stone. The pairing gives the fitting a lighter, more luminous feel on the wall than a solid dark backplate would, and it sits particularly well against pale walls, marble effect tiling, or alongside other brass taps and hardware in a scheme that is already leaning warm.

How it works

This is a single light wall fitting taking one 40W E14 bulb, which is not supplied, and it will only dim if dimmable bulbs are fitted. As a Class I fitting it requires an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician. With an IP44 rating, it is protected against splashing water from any direction, which is what allows it to be positioned close to a bathroom sink or shower area.

Where it works best

Measuring 41.4cm high, 14cm wide, with a 20.3cm projection, Gilda has enough scale to work as a statement piece either side of a bathroom mirror while staying slim enough for narrower stretches of wall.
