Quintiesse Felixstowe Single Bathroom Wall Light - Black Shade

The Felixstowe single wall light brings a touch of contrast to the bathroom, combining a polished chrome arm and backplate with a black shade. It keeps the same curved arm and chamfer detailing as the rest of the Felixstowe range, but the black shade gives it a sharper, more contemporary edge.

The frame is steel finished in polished chrome, while the shade is finished in a faux silk fabric in black. The dark shade tempers the amount of light that spills outward and adds definition against light coloured walls or tiles, making it a good match for bathrooms with monochrome or industrial styling, or anywhere you want the fitting itself to stand out rather than blend in.

How it works

It takes 1 x 3W LED G9 bulb, not supplied. Dimming is possible if you fit dimmable G9 bulbs, though standard non dimmable bulbs will work too. As a Class I fitting it requires an earthed supply and should be wired in by a qualified electrician. The IP44 rating means it is protected against water splashes, and the wall fixings needed to mount it are included.

Where it works best

With a height of 40.6cm and a 16.2cm projection from the wall, Felixstowe sits close enough to the wall to work in tighter bathrooms, whether flanking a mirror or positioned above a basin. Given its IP44 rating, it is suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, the areas outside the immediate splash zone around a bath or shower, though it is worth checking the zone requirements for your own layout.
