Quintiesse Elmore Single Pendant - Polished Chrome

Look closely at the shade on the Elmore single pendant and you will see it is made up of countless small rods of glass, built up over the surface to catch and break up the light rather than let it shine straight through. The result is a pendant that throws a soft, sparkling glow rather than a hard glare, useful in a room where you want ambient light with some visual interest overhead.

Polished chrome finish

Here the glass shade sits on a frame and gallery finished in polished chrome, giving the pendant a cool, reflective edge that suits contemporary kitchens and dining spaces. It works well against stainless steel appliances, white or grey cabinetry, and other chrome or nickel fittings in the room, and the high shine finish helps bounce light around the shade itself.

How it works

This pendant is designed for a single E27 LED bulb, which you will need to source separately as bulbs are not supplied. It can be dimmed, but only when dimmable LED bulbs are fitted. The drop is adjustable, allowing you to set the hanging height to suit your ceiling on installation. As a Class I fitting, it requires an earthed electrical supply and should be wired in by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At 46cm high and 29.5cm deep, the Elmore has enough scale to work as a single centrepiece pendant. It is best suited to kitchens and dining rooms, for example centred above a dining table or hung over a section of worktop or island. Its adjustable drop runs from 59.4cm to a generous 215.1cm, so it can be set high in rooms with tall or vaulted ceilings as well as more standard room heights, but it is worth checking this range against your own ceiling height and the clearance you want above a table before you order.
