The Ecrou Pendant borrows its silhouette from an acorn, its tapered glass shade carrying a fine wood grain texture that gives the light a soft, natural quality rather than a hard, uniform glow. In this version that glass sits within warm, brushed gold metalwork, a pairing that leans decorative and adds a touch of shine to what is otherwise a fairly understated, organic shape.
The matte gold finish
The brushed gold frame here has a soft, low sheen rather than a polished mirror finish, so it picks up ambient light gently rather than throwing it back sharply. It sits well against warm woods, brass fittings and richer wall colours, and tends to suit rooms with a slightly more traditional or hospitality led feel, from a boutique bedroom to a reception or dining area where a bit of glint in the fittings is welcome.
How it works
- Fitted with a GU10 lamp holder, taking a single GU10 lamp (not supplied).
- Compatible with dimmable GU10 lamps, so dimming is possible provided a dimmable lamp is fitted.
- The drop is adjustable across a 70cm to 265.5cm range, allowing each fitting to be hung at a different, deliberate height.
- Wired to Class I, meaning it requires an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.
Where it works best
At 16.5cm in diameter, this is a fitting that reads well in numbers, and it is often grouped in clusters of three to four over a dining table, bar, or kitchen island rather than used as a single central light. It also works as a softer accent in bedrooms and living rooms, and its scale and finish make it a natural fit for commercial and hospitality settings such as boutique hotels or restaurants, where several pendants at staggered drops using the adjustable range can be used to build atmosphere over a run of seating.
