The Deco 1 Light Wall Light takes the same Art Deco shaped opal glass globe and pairs it with a crisp black steel frame, a versatile combination that reads as much at home in a modern hallway as it does beside a bed or above a dining table. It's a single arm wall light that throws a soft, even wash of light rather than a hard beam, making it easy to place wherever you want gentle ambient lighting rather than a spotlight.
A black finish
The frame is steel finished in black, an understated, versatile choice that works with almost any decor, from painted plaster to exposed brick to dark timber panelling. Paired with the rounded opal glass globe, it has a slightly retro, Art Deco silhouette without feeling overtly vintage, so it sits comfortably in newer builds as well as period homes.
How it works
It's designed for a single E14 bulb of around 25W (not supplied), and is compatible with dimmable lamps, so fit a dimmable bulb if you want to dial the brightness up or down; without one it runs at a fixed level. This is a Class I fitting, meaning it must be connected to an earthed supply and fitted by a qualified electrician. There's no adjustable arm or shade to set, it's a fixed wall light that's ready to wire in once positioned.
Where it works best
At around 30.5cm high, 15.2cm wide and with a 17.1cm projection, and weighing 2.7kg, it's a light enough fitting for a standard wall fixing. Its natural home is anywhere you'd want a warm accent light rather than a main source, flanking a bed in a bedroom, either side of a hallway mirror, above a sideboard in a dining room, or as a pair in a living room or kitchen where a softer glow suits the mood better than an overhead pendant.
