Quintiesse Cumberland 1 Light Pendant - Gold

The Cumberland pendant is built around a smooth, capsule shaped opal glass diffuser held on slender metal supports, giving it a soft, contemporary silhouette. It's an easy pendant to place either as a single light over a small table or gathered in twos and threes, where the repeated glass shape becomes the real design statement.

Brushed gold finish

This version of the Cumberland is finished in a warm brushed gold, applied to the slim steel frame that cradles the opal white glass shade. The brushed texture softens the metal's shine, so it reads as warm and understated rather than showy, and it sits comfortably alongside timber furniture, brass door and cabinet hardware, or warm toned worktops.

How it works

The Cumberland has an integrated 10W LED module rather than a separate replaceable bulb, so there's no bulb to buy or fit. It puts out 810 lumens of warm white 3000K light and is dimmable, though you'll need a compatible LED dimmer switch (not included) to actually get the dimming effect. The drop is adjustable between 63.5cm and 303.5cm, so the pendant can be set at the height that suits your ceiling. It's rated Class II, meaning it's double insulated and doesn't need to be connected to an earth.

Where it works best

At 54.8cm high and just 13cm deep, this pendant suits kitchens, dining rooms and bedrooms without dominating the space, and it's a good candidate for grouped installations above a kitchen island or dining table. The wide adjustable drop range also makes it a practical option for rooms with higher ceilings or for stairwells, where you need more flexibility to get the clearance right.
