Quintiesse Ciri LED Pendant - Matte Black

Ciri takes the traditional cage pendant and gives it a graphic, contemporary twist, with rings of light seemingly floating inside an open metal frame rather than sitting inside a visible shade. In matte black, the effect is more sculptural than soft, the dark frame all but disappears against a ceiling while the glowing acrylic rings do the talking.

The frame is aluminium and iron finished in a deep matte black, paired with frosted acrylic rings that spread the LED light evenly rather than letting it glare. It reads well in industrial, urban and modern interiors, and works equally well as a single statement piece or repeated in twos or threes above a run of worktop or table.

How it works

The pendant is powered by a single 45W integrated LED module, giving a warm 3000K light output of around 1682 lumens, so there is no bulb to source or swap out separately, the light source is built into the fixture. This version is not dimmable, so it is intended to run at a fixed brightness. Drop is adjustable between 72.4cm and 180cm, which is worth measuring against your ceiling height and preferred hang before you buy. It is a Class I fitting, meaning it must be wired to an earthed supply and installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

The generous adjustable drop makes this a good option for stairwells and hallways with varying ceiling heights, as well as more conventional settings such as living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens and bedrooms where a pendant with a diffused, non glaring glow is preferred over a bare bulb look. At 6kg, it can generally be hung from a standard ceiling rose or fixing point, though it is always worth confirming yours is secure before installation.
