Quintiesse Chance Harbor Single Medium IP44 Wall Lantern - Weathered Zinc

Sitting between the small and large versions in the range, this medium wall lantern is the middle ground of the Chance Harbor collection, sized to suit an average front door without overwhelming it or disappearing against a larger wall. It brings the same historic, coastal inspired look to the doorway, built from clear ribbed glass and a weathered aluminium frame.

Weathered Zinc finish

Quintiesse describes many of its finishes as drawing on hand applied techniques, and the Weathered Zinc finish here has that quality, a mottled, softly aged grey patina across the aluminium frame rather than a uniform painted coat. It sits well against brick, render, timber cladding and painted period doorways alike, with the clear ribbed glass adding a subtle texture to the light it casts.

How it works

The lantern is designed for a single E27 LED bulb, which isn't supplied, so you can choose your preferred warmth and output. It will dim if you fit dimmable bulbs, though a standard LED will run at a constant brightness. It's a Class I fitting, meaning it needs an earthed electrical supply and installation by a qualified electrician. There's no adjustable drop as it's fixed flat to the wall.

Where it works best

At 45.7cm high, 22.1cm wide and projecting 27cm, it's the size most homes reach for either side of a standard front door, on a porch pillar, or flanking a side entrance. Rated IP44, it's built to handle rain and general weather when mounted on a sheltered exterior wall, and at 3kg it sits comfortably on a standard wall fixing.
