Quintiesse Chance 2 Light Semi-Flush Fitting - Polished Nickel & Polished White

This variant of the Chance 2 Light Semi Flush Fitting pairs a cooler metal frame with a crisp white finish, a lighter, more contemporary take on a shape that's traditionally worked in warm metals. The rounded, rivet trimmed cast frame is a Quintiesse signature across the Chance range, and an etched opal glass diffuser at its centre keeps the light soft rather than pointed.

Polished Nickel and Polished White finish

The steel frame combines a polished nickel finish with polished white detailing, giving a brighter, cleaner look than the brass options in this range. The nickel keeps a genuine shine rather than the softer glow of a brushed finish, and the white elements lift the fitting so it doesn't disappear against a pale ceiling. It suits contemporary schemes, coastal interiors and any room where a warm brass tone would feel out of place.

How it works

Two E27 bulbs are needed to light it (not supplied), and it will dim if dimmable bulbs are fitted, it won't dim with standard ones. As a Class I fitting it needs an earthed electrical supply and should only be installed by a qualified electrician. The frame, glass diffuser and fixings are all included; only the bulbs are left for you to choose.

Where it works best

At 25.4cm high and 36.2cm across, it's a compact, close to ceiling fitting that works in rooms with restricted headroom as well as anywhere a pendant would feel too heavy visually. Quintiesse suggests it for living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways, and the lighter finish here makes it a natural fit for a bright hallway or a bedroom with pale walls.
