Quintiesse Chance 2 Light Semi-Flush Fitting - Heritage Brass

Quintiesse's Chance 2 Light Semi Flush Fitting takes its rounded, symmetrical shape from a design that has long been read as a symbol of good luck, and dresses the cast frame with a neat row of rivets along its top and bottom edges. An etched opal glass diffuser sits at its centre, so light spreads softly through the fitting rather than glaring from an exposed bulb, and its two lights are more than enough to anchor a hallway, dining room or bedroom ceiling.

Heritage Brass finish

Here the steel frame is finished in Heritage Brass, a warm, slightly aged gold tone that avoids the high shine of a polished finish, so it reads as brass with some character rather than a mirror surface. It works well against warmer wall colours, timber floors and traditional joinery, and pairs naturally with other aged brass hardware in the room, door furniture, taps or picture lights, without needing everything in the space to match exactly.

How it works

The fitting takes two E27 bulbs, which are not included, and will dim if fitted with dimmable bulbs, standard bulbs will not dim even on a dimmer switch. It's a Class I fitting, so it must be connected to an earthed supply and fitted by a qualified electrician. What arrives is the complete frame, glass diffuser and fixings, ready for wiring in.

Where it works best

Measuring 25.4cm high and 36.2cm in diameter, it sits flush enough to the ceiling to suit rooms where headroom is tight, hallways and landings especially, while still giving enough presence for a bedroom or dining room. Quintiesse recommends it for living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways, and it's a practical option anywhere a full drop pendant isn't wanted or won't fit.
