Quintiesse Catalina 1 Light Medium Wall Lantern - Black with Burnished Bronze accents

This medium version of Catalina keeps the same floating lantern design in a more compact frame, making it the easier fit for spaces where the large model would feel oversized. A single light sits inside a rectangular glass cage suspended from a top knob, giving the fixture a light, uncluttered look that works well repeated along a run of wall or used in pairs on a narrower facade.

Black with burnished bronze finish

Black forms the main body of the lantern with burnished bronze picked out along the fixings and joints, so the two tone finish adds a bit of warmth without competing with the glass. The clear glazing runs around all four sides, which keeps the light spread even and stops the fixture looking heavy against lighter render or painted brick. It works equally well on modern minimal exteriors and on more traditional facades looking for a slightly less ornate lantern.

How it works

It runs on a single 60W E27 bulb, not included, and only dims if a dimmable bulb is fitted, since there is no dimming module built into the fixture itself. This is a Class I fitting, so it needs an earthed electrical supply and should be wired up by a qualified electrician. You get the lantern itself in the box; bulb and installation are separate.

Where it works best

At 40.7cm tall with a 20cm projection, this size suits doorways, porch pillars and gateposts where wall space is tighter, or anywhere you want a matching pair either side of a window or a smaller entrance. Because it carries an IP44 rating it is happy on an open, unsheltered wall as well as under a porch roof, so it is a sensible choice for side passages, utility doors and other spots exposed to the elements.
