Quintiesse Castelle Single Small Wall Lantern - Black

For a crisp, contemporary take on a classic lantern shape, the Castelle single small wall lantern pairs a cast aluminium frame with a ribbed, etched glass cylinder. Neat corner panelling in the glass gives it a tailored edge without tipping into anything ornate.

Black finish

Finished in black, this smaller Castelle has a graphic, architectural quality that reads well against render, brick or timber cladding alike. The etched glass carries an amber toned glow, softening what could otherwise be a stark silhouette and giving the light a warm, welcoming cast.

How it works

It's designed around a single E27 LED bulb, which isn't included, so you can pick your preferred colour temperature. Choose a dimmable bulb if you want to dim it on a compatible switch, standard bulbs will simply switch on and off at full brightness. As a Class I fitting it needs an earthed electrical supply and should be wired up by a qualified electrician. An IP44 rating means it's happy on an exposed exterior wall, coping with rain and damp air.

Where it works best

Standing 29.2cm tall with an 18cm projection, this is the compact option in the Castelle range, well proportioned for narrower porches, either side of a front door, or spaced along a boundary wall. At 2.5kg it's light enough to fix without special reinforcement, though any exterior fitting should still go onto a sound wall surface.
