Quintiesse Castelle Single Medium Wall Lantern - Bronze

The Castelle single medium wall lantern is the taller sibling in this transitional range, giving the same cast aluminium and etched glass detailing more presence on a larger wall or doorway. Etched corner panels around the ribbed glass cylinder pick up the light and add textural interest by day as well as after dark.

Bronze finish

In bronze, the medium Castelle takes on a warm, weathered tone that sits comfortably against stone, brick or dark cladding. Its amber toned etched glass softens the LED's output into a gentle glow rather than a bright point of light, well suited to a considered exterior lighting scheme.

How it works

The fitting is designed for a single E27 LED bulb, sold separately, so you can match brightness and colour temperature to the rest of your exterior lighting. It will dim smoothly if you fit a dimmable bulb on a compatible circuit, otherwise it runs at a fixed level. This is a Class I fitting, so it must be connected to an earthed supply and installed by a qualified electrician. With an IP44 rating, it's built to withstand rain and damp conditions on an outside wall.

Where it works best

At 38.3cm tall, this medium size gives it enough scale to frame a substantial front door or garage entrance, or to anchor a longer run of exterior wall where a smaller lantern might get visually lost. It weighs 3.2kg, so while it doesn't need the heavy duty fixings a large pendant would, it's worth checking the wall surface can take a securely screwed fitting before installation.
