Wide and low slung, this pendant is built for stretching across a kitchen island or long dining table. It shares the Calters family's tapered lantern styling, with a concealed LED lighting clear acrylic light guide panels marked with a fine dotted pattern, but its proportions are its own: a broad 96.7cm width designed to run along a stretch of worktop rather than sit as a single point of light.
Champagne gold finish
As with the rest of the Calters range, the frame is aluminium and iron in a champagne gold finish, a soft warm gold that avoids feeling overly formal. Left clear, the acrylic panels show the dotted texture along the length of the fitting, so the light reads as a continuous glowing bar rather than a row of separate lamps.
How it works
Light comes from a single integrated LED rated at 50.8W. There is no separate bulb to source, and this size in the range is not listed as dimmable, so it is designed to run at a fixed output. It is a Class I fitting, so it needs an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician. Drop is adjustable using the rods supplied, from around 63cm up to 169.7cm.
Where it works best
Its width and output make it well suited to kitchen islands and long dining tables, where even light across a run of worktop or table is more useful than a single pool of light in the middle. At 12.3kg, check that your ceiling has a secure, load rated fixing point before installing, and make sure the adjustable drop range suits the ceiling height in your kitchen or dining room.
