Quintiesse Cairo 1 Light Pendant - Urban Bronze

The Cairo 1 Light Pendant takes the collection's pyramid inspired geometry and distils it into a single drop fitting. A tapered steel frame is wrapped in vertically ribbed glass, so the light catches and refracts along each groove rather than diffusing flatly, giving the pendant a faceted, architectural presence even when switched off.

Urban Bronze finish

In Urban Bronze, the steel frame takes on a deep, weathered tone that reads as understated and slightly industrial. It sits well against the clear ribbed glass, letting the glass do the talking for light while the bronze frame anchors the piece visually. The finish suits darker, more tailored interiors and pairs easily with black ironmongery, timber furniture or brushed metal accents nearby.

How it works

This pendant takes a single 60W E27 bulb (not supplied). The suspension is adjustable, with a drop range of 71.1cm to 173.8cm, so you can set the fitting at the right height for your ceiling and the effect you want, closer for an intimate pool of light, longer for a statement drop. Dimming works only if dimmable bulbs are fitted. It is a Class I fitting, so it needs to be connected to an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician. The pendant itself is supplied complete; the bulb is not included.

Where it works best

A single Cairo pendant works well wherever you want a compact, sculptural point of light: beside a bed, over a small side table, in a hallway, or as one of a pair flanking a dining table rather than a single central fitting. Because the drop is adjustable, it also suits stairwells and taller rooms, though it's worth checking the 71.1cm to 173.8cm range against your ceiling height and the clearance you need before ordering.
