The Matte Black Finish

How it works

The Cadoux uses a continuous integrated LED light source rather than a screw in bulb, so there is nothing separate to source or replace over time. It runs at 54W and produces 1490 lumens of warm white 3000K light, with a rated lifespan of around 20,000 hours. The dimmability metafield confirms this fitting is dimmable, though that only holds true once it is wired to a compatible dimmer switch, which is not included. Electrically it is built to Class II, double insulated standards. The suspension is adjustable across a 35cm to 167.6cm drop, allowing the fitting to be set closer to the ceiling or dropped lower depending on the room.

Where it works best

At 51cm across, the Cadoux is a natural fit hung centrally above a dining table or kitchen island, where the full circle of light can be seen clearly from below. The product's own room data points to dining rooms, kitchens and bedrooms as strong settings for it, and its adjustable drop range also makes it a good candidate for stairwells or entrance halls with taller ceilings, where the suspension can be extended to bring the light down to a more useful height.
