The Cadence 18 Light Chandelier is the largest expression of Quintiesse's Cadence collection, a cascade of sculptural, asymmetrical forms finished in antique white that turns a stairwell or a grand living space into something closer to an art installation. Rather than a symmetrical ring of arms, Cadence's silhouette feels loose and organic, giving the chandelier real presence even before the bulbs are lit.
Antique white finish at scale
Eighteen individual arms in steel, each finished in the same soft antique white as the rest of the Cadence range, combine into a single sculptural cluster. With more surface at play across a chandelier of this size, the chalky, textural quality of the finish is even easier to appreciate, and gives what could otherwise be a very large fitting a lightness that keeps it from feeling heavy handed in a room.
How it works
The chandelier takes 18 x 40W E14 golf ball bulbs, not supplied, and dims only if you fit dimmable bulbs. Its suspension allows the drop to be adjusted between roughly 96.5cm and 198.2cm, so it can be set to suit anything from a standard ceiling height to a double height stairwell. It's a Class I fitting, so it must be connected to an earthed supply and installed by a qualified electrician.
Where it works best
Given its scale, standing 74.9cm high and 76.2cm across, and its wide adjustable drop, this is a chandelier built for spaces with room to breathe: entrance halls, stairwells, or a dining or living room with a generous ceiling height. The adjustable drop is worth checking carefully against your ceiling height and the clearance you want above head height or above a dining table before you order, especially in a stairwell where sightlines and headroom both matter.
