Quintiesse Brickell 5 Light Chandelier - Matte Black

Scaled up into a five light chandelier, the Brickell brings the same mid century silhouette to a room's centrepiece fitting. Five arms fan out from a matte black steel body, each detailed in hazelnut leather, so the piece reads as a considered, layered statement rather than a simple cluster of bulbs.

The body and arms are steel, finished in a deep matte black that keeps the overall shape crisp against a ceiling or feature wall. Hazelnut leather wraps key junctions of the frame, echoing the wall light in the same family and bringing a warmer, more tactile material into what is otherwise a strong, architectural design.

How it works

Each of the five arms holds a 60W E27 bulb, none of which are supplied, so you can mix and match warm white LEDs to suit the room's tone. The chandelier is dimmable, but only when dimmable bulbs are fitted throughout; mix in a non dimmable bulb and the dimmer will not behave predictably. Drop is adjustable between 53.3cm and 160.1cm, so it can be set close to the ceiling in a lower room or dropped well down over a table or stairwell. As a Class I fitting it needs an earthed mains supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

With a 114.3cm span and that generous drop range, Brickell is built for rooms with some scale, over a dining table, in a double height living room, or as a statement piece dropped down a stairwell. Check the adjustable drop against your ceiling height and the clearance you want above furniture or stair treads before ordering, since the difference between a 53cm and 160cm drop changes the room it suits.
