Quintiesse Booker Single Small Wall Lantern - Aluminium

The Booker single small wall lantern takes its cue from traditional carriage lanterns, with a curved arm and rounded trim giving it the settled, familiar shape of a fitting that has hung by a doorway for decades. Its compact frame makes it an easy fit for narrower wall spaces either side of a front door or along a porch, where a pair often works better than one larger fitting.

The aluminium finish

Built from aluminium and steel with clear seeded glass panels, this smaller Booker carries a soft silver toned finish that catches light unevenly through the glass rather than throwing it flat. The seeded texture and coordinating knobs give it a slightly worn, antique character that sits comfortably against brick, render, timber cladding or painted stone.

How it works

It takes a single E27 LED bulb, not supplied, fitted behind the seeded glass. The light is dimmable if dimmable bulbs are used, so pick your bulb accordingly if you want that flexibility on a dimmer circuit. The lantern is fixed via its wall bracket and curved arm, with no adjustable drop as this is a wall mounted fitting.

Where it works best

At a compact 28.9cm high, 16.2cm wide and projecting 16cm from the wall, this is the size to reach for when space either side of a door or window is limited, or when you want a matching pair rather than a single statement piece. Its IP44 rating means it is built to cope with rain and damp outdoor conditions, making it suitable for porches, entrances and exterior walls generally exposed to the weather.
