The largest fitting in the range, the Blacksmith 5 light outdoor chandelier takes the collection's spiralling ironwork and builds it out to full scale, five arms curling around a central column to form a genuine centrepiece for a grand porch, portico or covered entrance. Where the smaller Blacksmith pieces are understated porch lights, this one is designed to be noticed.
The old black finish
The old black finish runs consistently across all five arms, built up with charcoal and dark silver accents so the ironwork reads with depth and texture rather than as a flat black shape. Each arm carries a cylindrical opal etched glass shade, which diffuses the light across the whole fitting so it glows evenly rather than throwing five separate hotspots. On a fitting this size, that even diffusion matters more than on the smaller pieces in the range.
How it works
Five E14 LED bulbs are required and not supplied. Dimmable bulbs are needed if you want dimming, standard bulbs will not dim. The drop adjusts from roughly 85.5cm to 333.7cm, and the fitting is rated IP44 for outdoor use.
Where it works best
This is a genuinely large fitting, 75.5cm high, 66.4cm across and 17kg, so it's built for tall entrances, grand porticos and covered driveways rather than a modest porch. Before installation, confirm your ceiling or wall has a secure, load rated fixing point capable of taking that weight. The wide drop adjustment range also makes it a good option for double height entrance halls or stairwells where you need to set the hanging height carefully to suit the space.
