Sitting between the single pendant and the larger chandeliers in the range, the Blacksmith 3 light outdoor chandelier gives three points of light from a compact spiralling frame, enough presence for an entrance without needing the scale of a full portico fitting. It keeps the collection's soft, orb like ironwork silhouette but in a size that suits more modest porches and covered doorways.
The old black finish
Old black is the finish across this range, built up with charcoal and dark silver accents so the ironwork has depth rather than sitting as one flat colour. Each of the three arms carries a cylindrical shade in opal etched glass, softening the light so it glows out through the spiralling frame rather than shining directly. It works well against darker brick, aged stone or painted timber cladding.
How it works
The fitting takes three E14 LED bulbs, which are not included. As with the rest of the range, dimming is only possible if you fit dimmable bulbs. The drop is adjustable between approximately 56.4cm and 303.8cm, and it carries an IP44 rating for outdoor use.
Where it works best
At 48.3cm high, 40.7cm across and 6.9kg, this sits comfortably over a front door, above a porch step or centred over an outdoor seating area, giving a wider spread of light than a single pendant without the bulk of the largest chandelier in the range. The wide drop adjustment range is particularly useful if you're fitting it somewhere with a tall or sloped porch ceiling, or over a stairwell style entrance.
