Quintiesse Bexley Single Table Lamp - Black & Brushed Brass

Bexley is a table lamp built on contrast, a compact ceramic form with delicate ribbed detailing, dressed up with a metal cap and a soft fabric shade. It is a small design with a lot of character, the kind of piece that can anchor a bedside table or console without taking up much space.

This pairing puts a black ceramic base against a brushed brass cap and fittings, so the warmth of the brass stands out clearly against the darker body. Quintiesse describes many of its brass finishes as being worked using artisan brushing techniques, giving the metal a soft, matte texture rather than a mirror shine. Topped with a faux silk shade, it suits richer, more layered interiors, think dark walls, warm wood tones, or brass accents used elsewhere in the room.

How it works

It runs on 1 x E27 LED bulb, not included, so you will need to fit your own. Dimming works only if you choose dimmable LED bulbs, standard bulbs will not dim even on a dimmer circuit. This is a Class I fitting, meaning it must be connected to an earthed supply, with any hardwiring carried out by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At 56.2cm high and 30cm deep, Bexley is well suited to bedside tables, occasional tables and console surfaces where a slightly bolder finish can stand out. It has been designed for use in living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways, so it works equally well as a pair either side of a bed or as a single lamp adding warmth to a hallway or dining sideboard.
