Warm brass brings a different character to the Azores wall light, softening its vintage industrial lines into something more traditional. Two cylindrical shades run horizontally along the fitting, throwing an even wash of light along a mirror or vanity wall, and the natural brass tone lends the bathroom a more textured, lived in feel than a plain metallic finish would.
The natural brass finish
Quintiesse describes many of its brass finishes as hand applied, and here the natural brass has a soft, slightly variegated warmth rather than a uniform polished shine. It pairs naturally with wooden vanity units, brass taps and fittings, or warm toned tiling, and tends to suit bathrooms aiming for a more classic or hotel style look. The clear fluted glass shades keep the light itself crisp, so the warmth comes from the metalwork rather than the glass.
How it works
Two E14 LED lamps are needed to run this fitting; they are not included. Dimming is only possible if dimmable E14 bulbs are fitted, a standard non dimmable LED will not respond to a dimmer switch. As a Class I fitting it must be connected to an earthed supply and wired in by a qualified electrician. The IP44 rating means it can handle splashes and humidity, which suits the more exposed positions in a bathroom.
Where it works best
Measuring 40.7cm across and 11.5cm high, it is proportioned for either side of a mirror rather than as a single statement piece, and at 1.9kg it is light enough to fix without reinforced wall fixings. It works well flanking a mirror in an ensuite or family bathroom, or as a softer alternative to spotlights above a vanity unit.
