Quintiesse Axel 5 Light Semi-Flush Fitting - Heritage Brass

Axel is a semi flush light designed for spaces that need real presence but not real height: five lights branch out from a low profile body fixed to the ceiling at three points, so the fitting sits close to the ceiling while still filling a room with light. This all brass version leans into a warmer, more traditional look than the black and brass alternative in the same range.

Heritage brass finish

Both the main body and the articulating arms are finished entirely in heritage brass, giving Axel a warm, consistent glow even before the lights are switched on. Clear glass shades protect each bulb while keeping the fitting light and uncluttered looking. The all brass finish suits classic and transitional schemes, and works well alongside brass switches, handles or taps elsewhere in the room.

How it works

Five E27 LED bulbs are needed to complete Axel, and these are not included, so you're free to pick the finish and colour temperature you prefer. Each arm can be individually angled, which means you can point light where you actually need it rather than relying on a single fixed spread. It will dim smoothly if you fit dimmable bulbs, though standard bulbs won't dim. As a Class I fitting, it requires an earthed electrical supply and should be fitted by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its flush fixing and slim 27.2cm height make Axel a sensible option for hallways, landings and rooms with lower ceilings where a hanging pendant isn't practical. The five articulating arms also suit dining areas and living rooms where several smaller pools of light work better than one central source. This is a heavier fitting at 9.8kg, so make sure the ceiling has a secure, load rated fixing point before it goes up.
