The small Atwater in distressed brass brings an aged, characterful finish to a compact wall lantern, well suited to cottages, narrower porches and doorways where a large fitting wouldn't fit comfortably.
The distressed brass finish
The distressed brass finish sits over Atwater's rust and corrosion resistant composite body, and like the rest of the range it's treated with an anti fading agent so the antiqued tone stays consistent outdoors. Even at this smaller scale, the scrolled handle and frame detailing are clearly visible, and the clear seeded glass gives a soft, faceted glow after dark. It pairs particularly well with stone, cream render and traditional timber doors.
How it works
A single E27 LED bulb, not supplied, sits behind the seeded glass. Fit a dimmable bulb and the lantern will dim; a standard bulb will only switch on and off. This is a Class I fitting, so it needs an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician. Only the lantern itself is included.
Where it works best
At around 35.5cm tall, this is the size for narrower porches, cottage doorways or as a neat matching pair either side of a smaller front door. Its IP44 rating means it's designed to cope with splashing rain on a covered or sheltered exterior wall.
