Quintiesse Atwater Single Large Wall Lantern - Distressed Brass

The large Atwater in distressed brass is the statement version of the design, an aged metal look lantern with enough height and presence to anchor a grand entrance or wide porch.

The distressed brass finish

Distressed brass is worked over Atwater's composite body and finished with an anti fading treatment, so the antiqued texture and colour hold up outdoors without the maintenance a genuine aged brass fitting would need. The scale of the large size means the scrollwork handle and frame detailing are especially prominent, and the clear seeded glass panel throws a warm, textured light reminiscent of an old fashioned candle lantern. It's a natural match for stone, cream render or a traditional oak door.

How it works

It's built around a single E27 LED bulb, not included, set behind the seeded glass. Dimming works only if a dimmable bulb is fitted; otherwise it's simply on or off. As a Class I fitting, it must be connected to an earthed supply by a qualified electrician. The lantern comes without a bulb.

Where it works best

Standing at just over half a metre, this is the size for a wide entrance, double doors or a porch that needs a lantern with real visual weight, and it also works as a matching pair either side of a larger doorway. Its IP44 rating means it's built to withstand the driving rain a more exposed or semi sheltered exterior wall is likely to see.
