Quintiesse Ashbern Single Medium IP44 Wall Lantern - Textured Black

The Ashbern Single Medium Wall Lantern brings the collection's overlapping arc glass design to a mid sized box lantern, built for front doors and entrances that call for a slightly larger fitting than the smallest size in the range without moving into full statement porch light territory.

Textured Black finish

Finished in Textured Black over an aluminium body, the Ashbern's surface has a slightly textured, matt quality that avoids the shine of a painted or lacquered finish. Clear seeded glass, etched on the inside, fills the panels of the box frame, catching the light unevenly rather than showing the bulb directly. The combination sits comfortably against most render, brick or cladding, and works well alongside black guttering, door furniture or other exterior ironmongery in a matching finish.

How it works

This lantern is designed for a single E27 LED bulb, not supplied, giving you control over the warmth and output of the light. It is dimmable, but only if the bulb fitted is itself a dimmable LED. As a Class I fitting, it needs to be connected to an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician. The lantern ships ready to wire in; bulbs are not included.

Where it works best

Measuring 37.9cm high, 20cm wide and projecting 20.8cm from the wall, this medium size sits between the compact and large Ashbern lanterns, and suits front doors, porches and entrance walls where you want the fitting to register from the street without dominating it. The IP44 rating covers it for exposure to wind driven rain and general outdoor damp, so it is suited to open porches, canopies and unsheltered walls alike.
