Quintiesse Arno Single Table Lamp - Green - Aged Brass

Arno is built as a tall, tapering obelisk of faceted glass, designed so the light source sits hidden in the base rather than on show. This version pairs a rich green tinted glass with an aged brass base, giving the lamp a warmer, more traditional character than its nickel finished siblings.

Green and aged brass

The green glass carries a prismatic cut across its panels, so the colour shifts and deepens depending on the angle you catch it from, closer to bottle green in shadow and a lighter jade where it's lit. The aged brass base and fittings have a soft, burnished patina rather than a bright polish, which suits period furniture, warm wood tones, and rooms already leaning towards brass or bronze hardware.

How it works

A single 9W GX53 bulb (not supplied) sits low in the base, so what you see from outside is the glow through the glass rather than the bulb itself. Fit a dimmable GX53 bulb and the Arno will dim on a compatible circuit; with a standard bulb it will simply switch on and off. It's a Class I fitting, which means it must be wired to an earthed supply, with any hardwiring done by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Standing 36.4cm tall with a 17.1cm depth, this is a lamp for a nightstand, a console table, or a dining room sideboard rather than a large desk. The rooms it's designed for reflect that: bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms and hallways, anywhere you want a defined pool of coloured light rather than broad room lighting.
