Quintiesse Andover Single Large Wall Lantern - Weathered Zinc

The Andover collection takes its design cues from vintage C-clamps, translating that utilitarian shape into a wall lantern with real outdoor presence. This is the larger of the two Andover single light lanterns, with a taller frame and a wider clear seeded glass panel that gives it more visual weight on a wall, ideal where a front entrance or porch needs a light that reads clearly from the street.

Weathered Zinc finish

Cast in aluminium and finished in Weathered Zinc, the frame has a soft, weathered grey character that avoids the flat shine of a plain painted metal. The clear seeded glass panel introduces a subtle, irregular texture, breaking up the light rather than throwing a hard edged beam, and works well alongside stone, brick or painted render, as well as darker door furniture and house signage.

How it works

Fitted with a single E27 LED bulb, which is not included, this lantern is dimmable when dimmable bulbs are used. It is Class I rated, meaning it must be connected to an earthed electrical supply and fitted by a qualified electrician. With an IP44 rating, it is protected against water splashing from any angle, giving it the resilience needed for an exposed exterior wall.

Where it works best

Measuring 43.7cm in height, 25.4cm wide and projecting 27.4cm from the wall, this lantern has enough scale to flank a larger front door, a wide porch, or a substantial gate pillar without looking undersized. At 4kg, it is still light enough for most masonry or render fixings, but is best mounted on a solid, secure wall surface given its larger frame.
