Three lights spread by a sealed glass roof
The largest wall lantern in the Alford Place collection, this 3 light fitting is built for porches, entrances and walls that need a bit more scale and presence. Its die cast frame, curved hanging arm and top loop echo a traditional carriage lantern, and a fully sealed glass roof spreads light around the fitting rather than down in a single pool.
Museum Black finish
Cast in aluminium and finished in Museum Black, it has the kind of solid, matte dark coating that holds up well against weather and UV without needing much upkeep. Against brick, render or stone, the black frame reads as a classic, slightly industrial period piece rather than a modern spotlight, and it pairs easily with the rest of the Alford Place family if you're lighting more than one wall of a building.
How it works
Three E14 bulbs are needed to run it, not supplied, so you can pick the wattage and colour temperature you prefer. It only dims if dimmable bulbs are fitted. As a Class I fitting it must be connected to an earthed supply and wired in by a qualified electrician, and its IP44 rating covers it for rain and splashing.
Where it works best
Measuring 53.7cm high and projecting 34.4cm from the wall, this is a fitting for a generous porch, a wide entrance wall or either side of a large front door, somewhere it has room to stand out rather than crowd a narrow space. Because it projects a fair way from the wall, check there's enough clearance from doorframes, steps or overhangs before fixing it.
Quintiesse craftsmanship
Quintiesse states that its products go through prototyping, batch inspection and quality sign off before release, part of how the brand maintains consistency across a range like Alford Place that spans pedestal, wall and pendant fittings.
