Quintiesse Alford Place 2 Light Pillar Lantern - Museum Black

Taller than the pedestal lantern but shorter than the full lamp post, the Alford Place 2 Light Pillar Lantern is built to sit on top of a gatepost or low pillar, marking an entrance rather than lining a path. It carries the same die cast frame and sealed glass roof as the rest of the range, giving light out on all sides from a fixed point.

Museum Black finish

Cast in aluminium and finished in Museum Black, it has the same deep matte coating used across the Alford Place range, chosen to hold up against weather without regular maintenance. Set on top of a stone or rendered pillar, the dark frame contrasts cleanly rather than disappearing into the material beneath it.

How it works

It takes 2 x E14 bulbs, not supplied, and dims only if dimmable bulbs are fitted. It's a Class I fitting, so it needs an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician, and its IP44 rating means it's built to handle rain and outdoor exposure.

Where it works best

At 110.2cm high, this pillar lantern is designed to fix to the top of a gatepost or low garden pillar either side of a driveway or entrance, marking the boundary rather than lighting a long path the way the taller lamp post does. It's a good pairing piece where you want matching lights either side of a gate without the full height of the lamp post version.
