Toto Zero: Low Profile Uplighting That Sits Almost Flush
Toto Zero is built around a low profile body, for projects where a ground uplight needs to sit almost flush rather than simply small. It brings the same colour accurate beam and sealed IP67 construction as the rest of the Toto range to shallow builds and thin substrates.
Choosing Your Configuration
Toto Zero is specified using the same real variables as the rest of the family.
- IP Rating: IP54 for indoor or sheltered locations, IP67 for exposed exterior installations including ground level moisture.
- Beam: 43° for a moderate, general purpose spread, or 50° for a wider wash suited to broader niches or steps.
- Lamp Temperature: 2700K for a warm, traditional tone, or 3000K for a slightly cooler, neutral white.
- Bezel Finish: Stainless Steel for durability underfoot, or White (RAL 9010) to blend with a painted surround.
Every Toto Zero has a black baffle to keep glare in check and is built around Orluna's Origin Natural LED engine.
How It Works
Even at a low profile depth, Toto Zero keeps the same sealing standard as the rest of the range. In its IP67 build a breather gland manages internal pressure to stop condensation forming, and triple o ring construction seals the body against dust and water, together giving a rating that is fully dust tight with protection against temporary immersion. The Origin Natural engine inside uses a custom phosphor recipe, with Orluna specifying typical figures of CRI 98 and R9 99 for natural, accurate colour rendering and 2 step SDCM so multiple fittings across a scheme stay visually consistent.
Where It Works Best
Toto Zero earns its place where shallow installation depth matters as much as physical size, thin paving builds, timber decking, or walls where there simply is not the depth for a standard uplight body. That sets it apart from Toto Micro, which is chosen for its small overall footprint rather than its shallow depth, and from the standard Toto and Toto Plus, which are sized for open facades and taller features rather than flush, low profile installation.
Made By Orluna
Orluna's emphasis has never been simply on lumen count, but on light that renders materials, finishes and skin tones naturally, and Toto Zero carries that priority into a genuinely low profile format. An independent review in arc magazine described Orluna's output as having well differentiated colours and a clean, soft edged beam without visible imperfections, a standard the company has maintained since Andrew Kilborn repositioned the business toward the high end architectural market in 2009, building on design families including the Quad 50, One, Cero, Curve, Origin, Fade and Vio ranges.

Questions People Ask
What makes Toto Zero different from Toto Micro? Toto Zero is built around a low profile, shallow body for installations with limited depth, while Toto Micro is chosen for its very small overall footprint.
Can Toto Zero be installed outdoors? Yes, in its IP67 configuration it is sealed with a breather gland and triple o ring construction for exterior use.
Which beam should I choose? 43° gives a moderate general purpose spread, while 50° widens the wash further, useful for broader niches or step runs.
