Toto Micro takes everything the Toto family is known for, a colour accurate beam, a sealed IP67 build and Orluna's engineering heritage, and packages it into the smallest footprint in the range. It is the fitting to specify when a niche, stair stringer or planting gap is too tight for a standard ground uplight.

Choosing Your Configuration

Toto Micro is built to order around four real variables, so each fitting is matched to its exact location.

• IP Rating: IP54 suits indoor or sheltered locations, while IP67 is specified for direct exterior exposure, including standing water or ground level splashing.
• Beam: a 35° beam gives a tighter, more directional throw for grazing a narrow surface or picking out a single step, while 50° opens the light into a softer, wider wash across a niche or landing.
• Lamp Temperature: 2700K reads warm and traditional, 3000K sits slightly cooler and neutral, useful for matching an existing scheme.
• Bezel Finish: Stainless Steel for a durable, semi reflective trim, or White (RAL 9010) to sit quietly against a painted wall or step.

Every Toto Micro is finished with a black baffle to keep the light source itself out of view, and runs on Orluna's Origin Natural LED engine as standard.

How It Works

In its IP67 configuration, Toto Micro uses a breather gland to equalise pressure and stop condensation forming inside the fitting as temperatures rise and fall, alongside triple o ring construction that seals the housing against dust and water ingress. IP67 means the fitting is fully dust tight and protected against temporary immersion, while IP54 offers protection against limited dust ingress and splashing water from any direction, suited to sheltered outdoor or indoor damp locations.

The Origin Natural LED engine at the heart of Toto Micro uses a custom phosphor recipe that Orluna specifies at typical figures of CRI 98 and R9 99, meaning strong reds render accurately rather than looking flat. Colour consistency between individual fittings is held to 2 step SDCM, so several Toto Micro units in the same run appear virtually identical, and Orluna rates the engine at L90 B5 at 50,000 hours, meaning the large majority of fittings retain at least 90 percent of their original output over that period.

Where It Works Best

Toto Micro is the specification of choice when space, not output, is the limiting factor. Think narrow stair stringers, tight gaps between paving and planting, shallow masonry niches or slim reveals beside a doorway, anywhere a standard sized Toto or the higher output Toto Plus simply will not fit. Where the standard Toto is the all purpose workhorse of the range and Toto Plus is built for larger facades and mature trees, Toto Micro is chosen specifically because of how little it needs to disappear into.

Orluna's story starts in 1973, when a group of aeronautical engineers began applying LED technology to civil and military uses where efficiency and mechanical reliability mattered more than anything else, long before LEDs were common in architectural lighting. That precision engineering background is still visible in a fitting as small as Toto Micro, where die cast aluminium housings and machined mechanisms are scaled down without any compromise on sealing or heat management.
