Suri Mini Adjustable: A Small Bezel With Serious Output

Some downlights announce themselves. Suri Mini Adjustable does the opposite, tucking a genuinely capable 300lm light engine behind one of the smallest bezels in Orluna's architectural range, then letting you aim it exactly where the room needs it.

Choosing your configuration

Suri Mini Adjustable is built to order around a small number of real choices, so it pays to think through the installation before specifying.

• Driver: choose 0 to 10V dimming, Dali, mains dimming or non dimming to match the control system already on site. Note that the 0 to 10V driver does not fit through the cut out, so this needs confirming before first fix.
• Engine: Origin for general purpose performance, or Origin Natural for the highest colour quality, Orluna's recommendation where accurate colour rendering matters most.
• Lamp temperature: 2700K or 3000K.
• Beam: from an 18° spot through to a 35° wide flood.
• IP rating: IP54 as standard, or IP65 for bathrooms and other humid spaces.
• Bezel and baffle: supplied in white (RAL 9010) with a black baffle.

How It Works

The adjustable head lets the optic be tilted after installation, so the beam can be angled toward artwork, a worktop or a feature wall rather than falling straight down. Behind the bezel, an aluminium housing draws heat away from the LED, which is what allows the fitting to hold its colour and output over time rather than yellowing or dimming early. Choose the Origin Natural engine and you get Orluna's custom phosphor recipe, developed to render colour with unusual accuracy rather than simply pushing out lumens.

Where It Works Best

Suri Mini Adjustable belongs in the smallest, most closely detailed parts of a scheme, tight hallway ceilings, shallow voids, bathrooms and dressing rooms, anywhere a large bezel would dominate the ceiling. Within the Suri Mini pairing, this is the version to specify when the beam needs to be aimed, at a mirror, a piece of art or an angled surface, whereas Suri Mini Fixed points straight down for even, symmetrical light. Compared with the larger Suri Minimal Trim family, Mini is the collection to reach for when the ceiling void or the aesthetic calls for the smallest possible cut out.

Orluna's story starts a long way from architectural lighting. Can the beam be redirected after installation? Yes. Suri Mini Adjustable has a tilting head, unlike Suri Mini Fixed which points straight down.

Will the 0 to 10V driver fit through the ceiling cut out? No, this driver needs to sit above the ceiling void rather than passing through the 55mm cut out, so it should be planned for at first fix.

Is Suri Mini Adjustable suitable for a bathroom? Specify the IP65 rated option for humid spaces such as bathrooms and ensuites.
