Metal and Reflection Where Glass Might Be
Sasi Large in brass is the bigger of Nuura's two Sasi sizes, a substantial elongated oval frame in satin brass aluminium with a smaller, high polish brass oval at its centre, using metal and reflection where other Nuura wall lights use glass.
Satin and polished brass
The outer frame has a warm, brushed satin brass finish, while the inner oval is polished to a near mirror shine, so the integrated light source reflects and scatters gently within the frame.
How it works
Sasi Large uses an integrated LED module rated at 21W, built into the fixture rather than a replaceable bulb. It's a hardwired fitting with no cable kit included, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in. It's rated IP20, designed for dry indoor spaces only.
Where it works best
At 65cm tall, it makes a strong statement on a living room wall, above a console table, or as a pair either side of a fireplace or bed, reading as much as sculpture as it does as a light source.
About Rick Tegelaar and Sasi
Sasi is a collaboration between Nuura and Dutch designer Rick Tegelaar, whose work explores the contrast between anodised and polished metal as a design idea in its own right.

Questions People Ask
Does the Nuura Sasi Large wall light need an electrician to install? It is a hardwired fitting and no cable kit is included. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.
Can I return it if I change my mind? No. Nuura fittings are made to order, so they are non-returnable once ordered, unless an item arrives faulty.
Is the light source replaceable, and can it be dimmed? The 21W LED module is integrated, so it is not a replaceable bulb. It is dimmable when installed with an appropriate LED dimmer.
How bright is it and what colour is the light? It gives 1996 lumens at 3000K, a warm white, with a CRI above 90.
How big is the Sasi Large? The oval frame is 650mm tall, 275mm wide and projects 56mm from the wall. The fixing plate behind it is 445mm long.
Can I use it in a bathroom? It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only. It is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoors.
How do I clean it? Use a soft, dry cloth only. Do not use household cleaners.
