Petalii 1 is the single bloom version of Nuura's flower inspired pendant, a single open flower head in painted white metal on a slender polished brass stem, casting a soft glow from its centre rather than a hard, direct beam.
White and polished brass
The shade is finished in a matte white powder coat rather than glass, giving it a soft, papery quality, while the stem and fittings are polished brass, a warm, high shine contrast that runs through the whole Petalii collection.
How it works
Petalii 1 takes a single E14 lamp, up to 25W, not included, positioned at the heart of the flower. It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in. This listing offers it both without a ceiling rose, for fitting to your own existing ceiling plate or ceiling cup, and with a matching brass ceiling rose included. It's rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms only.
Where it works best
Petalii 1 works well as a single pendant above a small round table or reading chair, or grouped in twos or threes at staggered heights above a kitchen island or a longer dining table for a more layered, sculptural effect.
About Nika Zupanc and Petalii
Petalii is designed by Nika Zupanc, whose work Nuura describes as a search for an icon, a familiar shape made new through poetic, sensuous detail. This pendant is the smallest expression of her flower motif in the collection.
