Nuura Miira Wall Light - Rock Grey & Opal Glass

Miira Wall Light is a small, sculptural sconce built around a single hand blown glass globe. A slender metal arm holds the glass out from the wall, giving it a light, almost floating quality rather than sitting flush against the surface.

This version pairs a rock grey metal arm with an opal white glass globe. The opal glass diffuses the light evenly through the whole surface of the globe, giving a soft, gentle glow, while the rock grey finish keeps the look calm and grounded.

How it works

Miira Wall Light takes a single G9 lamp (7W). It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in.

Where it works best

Projecting around 17.7cm from the wall, Miira Wall Light works well as an accent either side of a bed, mirror or fireplace, or spaced along a hallway for a softer alternative to ceiling lighting. It's rated IP20, so it's intended for dry indoor spaces rather than bathrooms or outdoor areas.

Miira Wall Light brings the collection's signature hand blown glass globe to a wall mounted form, sitting alongside the pendants, chandeliers and table lamps in the same range. Nuura was founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by Sofie Refer, Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg.

Questions People Ask

Does the Nuura Miira Wall Light need an electrician to install? It is a hardwired fitting. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. It is Class II rated.

Does the light source come included? No. It takes one G9 LED lamp, up to 7W, which is not supplied. The fitting is not integrated LED, so the lamp can be replaced.

Can the Miira Wall Light be dimmed? Yes, when fitted with a dimmable LED lamp that suits your dimmer circuit.

How far does it stick out from the wall? The projection is 177mm. The fitting is 285mm high and 140mm wide, with a 140mm diameter glass globe and a 105mm diameter wall plate.

Is the glass finish exactly the same on every light? No. The opal glass is mouth blown and the finish is hand applied, so slight variation between pieces is normal. Opal glass can look different lit and unlit, and screens show colour differently. Call customer service if you are unsure about colour.

Can I return it? No. Nuura fittings are made to order, so they are non-returnable once ordered, unless an item arrives faulty.
