Miira Large 13 takes the thirteen pendant format of the standard Miira 13 and rebuilds it at a bigger, weightier scale, with larger glass globes gathered on one wide ceiling plate. Where the standard Miira range has a light, narrow feel, the Large series is deliberately bolder and more substantial.
Rock grey finish and optic clear glass
This version combines a rock grey finish with optic clear glass across all thirteen globes. The optic glass has a fine embossed pattern that catches the light in small glints rather than an even glow, and paired with the cooler rock grey metal, the overall effect feels contemporary rather than ornate, even at this larger scale.
How it works
Miira Large 13 takes thirteen G9 lamps (7W each). The fitting stands around 35.8cm high, with the pendants spreading to an overall diameter of about 98cm from a ceiling plate roughly 87cm across. The suspension cable extends up to 250cm, so the drop can be adjusted to the ceiling height. It is a hardwired fitting and must be installed by a qualified electrician.
Where it works best
Its size and weight make Miira Large 13 best suited to genuinely large rooms, above a substantial dining table, rising through a stairwell with high ceilings, or as the centrepiece of an entrance hall. It needs enough headroom and floor space around it for the bigger globes to read properly rather than feel crowded.
About Nuura
Nuura, the Danish lighting brand founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by Sofie Refer, Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg, developed the Large series to sit alongside the original Miira range. The globes are noticeably bigger and the whole piece more substantial, giving the same hand blown glass a bolder, more dramatic presence.
