Nuura Miira Large 13 Light Chandelier - Rock Grey & Opal Glass

Miira Large 13 is the most dramatic expression in the Miira collection, gathering thirteen substantial hand blown glass globes on a single wide ceiling plate. Each pendant can be arranged at a slightly different height, so the finished chandelier reads as a loose, cascading cluster rather than a rigid grid, giving it real presence in a tall or open space. It is also a genuinely large fitting, 980mm across.

Rock grey finish and opal glass

This version pairs a rock grey metal frame with thirteen opal white glass globes. The opal glass diffuses the light evenly through the whole surface of each globe, giving a soft, gentle glow rather than sparkle, while the rock grey finish adds a deep, quiet contrast against the pale glass.

How it works

Miira Large 13 takes thirteen G9 lamps (7W each). The pendants hang from a wide ceiling plate and can each be set to a different length, with a cable that extends up to 250cm, allowing the overall drop to be tailored to the room. It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in.

Where it works best

With a diameter of around 98cm, Miira Large 13 is built for rooms with real scale, a double height hallway, a staircase, or as the centerpiece above a large dining table. It's rated IP20, so it's intended for dry indoor spaces rather than bathrooms or outdoor areas.

About Nuura

Miira Large sits at the top of the Miira range, taking the same hand blown glass and slender frames used throughout the collection and scaling them up into something more sculptural. Nuura was founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by Sofie Refer, Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg.

Questions People Ask

How big is the Nuura Miira Large 13 chandelier? The fitting is 980mm in diameter on a 900mm wide ceiling plate, with each globe 200mm across. The cable extends to a maximum of 2500mm, and the fitting weighs 33 kg, so please check the measurements against your space before ordering.

Does it need an electrician to install? Yes. It is a hardwired Class I fitting, and we always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

What bulbs does it take and can it be dimmed? It takes thirteen G9 LED lamps, 7W maximum each, and the lamps are not supplied. The light source is replaceable, and it can be dimmed if fitted with dimmable LED lamps suitable for your dimmer circuit.

Can I return it if I change my mind? No. Nuura fittings are made to order, so they are non-returnable once ordered, unless an item arrives faulty.

Will the glass and finish look exactly like the photos? Not always. The globes are mouth blown opal glass and the powder coated frame is hand finished, so small differences between pieces are normal, and opal glass looks different lit and unlit. If you are unsure about colour, please call customer service.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors? No. It is rated IP20, so it is intended for dry indoor spaces only.
