Nuura Miira Large 1 Light Pendant - Rock Grey & Opal Glass

Miira Large 1 takes the single hand blown glass globe at the heart of the Miira collection and scales it up, giving it a fuller, more generous presence than the original Miira pendant. A slender metal rod holds the globe just below the ceiling, keeping the overall look light despite the larger glass.

This version pairs a rock grey metal rod with a large opal white glass globe. The opal glass diffuses the light evenly through the whole surface of the globe, giving a soft, gentle glow, while the rock grey finish adds a deep, quiet contrast against the pale glass.

How it works

Miira Large 1 takes a single G9 lamp (7W). The cable can be set at various lengths up to a maximum of 250cm, so the drop can be tailored to the ceiling height and the spot it's hung above. It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in.

Where it works best

With a globe measuring around 20cm across, Miira Large 1 works well as a single statement pendant above a bedside table, reading chair or small dining table, or repeated in a row above a kitchen island. It's rated IP20, so it's intended for dry indoor spaces rather than bathrooms or outdoor areas.

Questions People Ask

Does the Nuura Miira Large 1 pendant need an electrician? We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. It is a hardwired Class II ceiling pendant and cannot be plugged in.

How long can the drop be? The cable can be set at various lengths up to a maximum of 250cm. The globe is 200mm in diameter and the fitting is 358mm tall without the cable.

What bulb does it take, and can it be dimmed? It takes one G9 LED lamp of up to 7W, which is not supplied. It can be dimmed if you fit a dimmable bulb suitable for your dimmer circuit.

Can I return it if I change my mind? No. Nuura fittings are made to order, so they are non-returnable once ordered, unless an item arrives faulty.

Will the opal glass look exactly like the photos? The globe is mouth blown and the parts are hand finished, so small variations from piece to piece are normal. Screens also show colour differently, so call customer service if you are unsure.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors? No. It is rated IP20, so it is intended for dry indoor spaces only.
