Nuura Miira Large 1 Light Pendant - Rock Grey & Opal Glass

Miira Large 1 takes the single hand blown glass globe at the heart of the Miira collection and scales it up, giving it a fuller, more generous presence than the original Miira pendant. A slender metal rod holds the globe just below the ceiling, keeping the overall look light despite the larger glass.

This version pairs a rock grey metal rod with a large opal white glass globe. The opal glass diffuses the light evenly through the whole surface of the globe, giving a soft, gentle glow, while the rock grey finish adds a deep, quiet contrast against the pale glass.

How it works

Miira Large 1 takes a single G9 lamp (7W). The cable can be set at various lengths up to a maximum of 250cm, so the drop can be tailored to the ceiling height and the spot it's hung above. It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in.

Where it works best

With a globe measuring around 20cm across, Miira Large 1 works well as a single statement pendant above a bedside table, reading chair or small dining table, or repeated in a row above a kitchen island. It's rated IP20, so it's intended for dry indoor spaces rather than bathrooms or outdoor areas.

Miira Large takes the same considered proportions and hand blown glass found throughout the Miira collection and gives them a bolder, more substantial scale. Nuura was founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by Sofie Refer, Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg.
