Miira 1 Large is a single pendant built around one generously sized hand blown glass globe on a fabric covered cable. Where the multi light Miira chandeliers gather several globes together, this is the collection reduced to its simplest form, a single sphere of glass suspended on its own.
Brass finish and opal glass
This version pairs a brass finish with a large opal white glass globe. The opal glass diffuses light evenly across its whole surface, giving a soft, even glow rather than a sharp point of light, while the brass detail adds a warm, understated line running up to the ceiling.
How it works
Miira 1 Large takes a single G9 lamp (7W). The glass globe measures around 20cm across, and the fitting as a whole is about 35.8cm high, with a suspension cable that can extend up to 250cm. A ceiling plate is not included with this pendant, so let us know before ordering if you need one supplied. It is a hardwired fitting and needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in.
Where it works best
Because it is a single pendant, Miira 1 Large works well hung individually above a small side table, in a reading nook, or beside a bed, and just as well repeated in a row above a kitchen island or long table, where several can be spaced out for an even run of light.

Questions People Ask
Does the Nuura Miira Large pendant need an electrician to install? It is a hardwired Class II fitting. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.
Can I return it if I change my mind? No. Nuura fittings are made to order, so they are non-returnable once ordered, unless an item arrives faulty.
What light source does it take, and can it be dimmed? It takes one G9 LED lamp, 7W maximum, which is not supplied. It can be dimmed if you fit a dimmable LED lamp suitable for your dimmer circuit.
How big is the Miira Large pendant? The opal glass globe is 200mm in diameter and the fitting is 358mm high. The cable can be adjusted up to a maximum of 2500mm.
Will the glass and brass look exactly like the photos? The glass is mouth blown and the finish is hand applied, so small differences between pieces are normal. Screens also show colour differently, so please call customer service if you are unsure.
Where can I use it? It is rated IP20, so it is suitable for dry indoor rooms only, such as a dining area, kitchen or bedroom.
