Miira 8 Oval stretches Nuura's ring shaped chandelier design into an elongated form, holding eight glass globes around an oval frame rather than a circle. The shape is built with longer tables in mind, so the light follows the line of the table rather than sitting as one central point.
Dark bronze finish and optic clear glass
This version uses a dark bronze finish on the oval frame, hung with eight optic clear glass globes. The optic glass carries a subtle embossed texture that scatters light into small glints rather than one smooth glow, and the dark bronze tone gives the whole piece a deeper, more understated presence than a brass or rock grey frame would.
How it works
Miira 8 Oval takes eight G9 lamps (7W each). The frame measures roughly 80cm wide by 109cm long, the fitting stands about 24.5cm high, and it hangs from a ceiling plate around 14.8cm across. The cable extends up to 400cm, so the drop height can be adjusted to the room. As a hardwired fitting, it must be connected by a qualified electrician.
Where it works best
Its length makes Miira 8 Oval well suited to long dining tables and large kitchen islands, where the oval shape can run parallel to the surface below and spread light along its full length. It also reads well in bigger meeting rooms, where the fitting needs to cover a wide area rather than one central spot.
About Nuura
Founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by Sofie Refer, Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg, Nuura developed the Oval chandeliers as a companion to the round Circular series within the Miira collection. Both share the same glass and construction, simply reshaped to suit different table proportions.
