Nuura Miira 8 Light Circular Chandelier - Dark Bronze & Optic Clear Glass

Miira 8 Circular is the larger of Nuura's ring shaped chandeliers, holding eight hand blown glass globes evenly spaced around a wide metal ring. Rather than a cluster hanging in the centre of the room, the light spreads out flat and wide, and a wire suspension system lets it be hung high or low as needed. It is also a genuinely large fitting, 1000mm across.

Dark bronze finish and optic clear glass

Here the ring is finished in dark bronze and paired with optic clear glass. The glass has a fine embossed texture that breaks the light up into small points of sparkle rather than a uniform glow, and against the dark bronze metal that sparkle reads as slightly more dramatic than it would against a paler finish.

How it works

Miira 8 Circular takes eight G9 lamps (7W each). The ring spans around 100cm in diameter, the fitting is roughly 24.5cm high, and it suspends from a small ceiling plate about 14.8cm across. The cable can extend up to 250cm, giving plenty of scope to set the height in rooms with higher ceilings. It is hardwired and must be connected by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Given its wide span, Miira 8 Circular works best above a large dining table or a substantial kitchen island, where the ring can sit centrally and cast light evenly across the whole surface. It also suits open plan living and dining spaces where a single, wide fitting can anchor the room rather than several smaller lights.

About Nuura

Nuura was founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by Sofie Refer, Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg, and the Miira collection remains one of its most versatile ranges. Alongside the vertical pendant clusters, the Circular chandeliers give the same hand blown glass a completely different, flatter expression, with Miira 8 Circular sitting at the larger end of that format.

Questions People Ask

Do I need an electrician to install the Nuura Miira 8 Circular chandelier? It is a hardwired ceiling fitting. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

How big is the Miira 8 Circular? The ring is 1000mm in diameter and the fitting is 245mm high, with each glass globe 200mm across. The suspension cable extends up to 2500mm, so please check these sizes against your space before ordering.

Can I return it if I change my mind? No. Nuura fittings are made to order, so they are non-returnable once ordered, unless an item arrives faulty.

Are the bulbs included, and can it be dimmed? The eight G9 LED lamps (7W maximum each) are not supplied, and the light source is replaceable rather than integrated. It can be dimmed if you fit dimmable LED lamps that suit your dimmer circuit.

Will the glass and finish look exactly like the pictures? Not always. The glass is mouth blown and the metal is hand finished, so small differences from piece to piece are normal, and screens show colour differently. If you are unsure about exact size or colour, please call customer service.

Where can I use it and how do I clean it? It is IP20 rated, so it is for dry indoor rooms such as a dining room, living room, hallway or stairwell. Clean it with a soft dry or damp cloth and no detergents.
