Miira 3 Circular takes the shape of a slim metal ring, hung flat beneath the ceiling and set with three hand blown glass globes around its circumference. It's the smallest of Nuura's circular chandeliers, with a diameter of just over half a metre, and its low, quiet profile makes it feel more like a soft halo of light than a conventional chandelier.
Brass and opal glass
Here the ring is finished in a warm, light brass tone that sits happily against both pale and darker walls. Its three globes are blown in opal white glass, a milky, dense glass that fully diffuses the light inside it, so rather than seeing the lamp itself you see a soft, even glow radiating from each globe. It's a gentle, ambient effect rather than a sparkling one.
How it works
Miira 3 Circular takes three G9 lamps, up to 7W each (not included), and is supplied with a ceiling plate around 14.8cm across. The wire suspension allows the ring to be hung at the height that suits your ceiling, up to a maximum drop of 400cm. As a hardwired fixture, it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician, and it's rated IP20 for dry indoor spaces only.
Where it works best
Its small scale and even spread of light make it well suited to bedrooms, hung centrally above the bed, as well as smaller dining tables, landings and reading corners where a full sized chandelier would overwhelm the room.
