Nuura Miira 13 Light Chandelier - Brass & Opal White Glass

Miira 13 is one of the largest pieces in Nuura's Miira collection, a chandelier built from thirteen individual mouth blown glass globes suspended from a single round ceiling plate. Rather than a solid cluster, each globe hangs on its own cable, so the whole piece reads as light and airy despite its scale, a genuinely room defining fixture for a space with the height and volume to suit it. It is also a genuinely large fitting, 920mm across, with a drop of up to 2500mm.

Brass finish and opal white glass

This version pairs a warm, polished brass ceiling plate and fittings with opal white glass across all thirteen globes. The opal glass diffuses the light evenly through each sphere, so the whole arrangement gives off a soft, even glow rather than individual points of sparkle, while the brass adds a warm, luxurious note even before the lights are switched on.

How it works

Each of the thirteen globes takes its own G9 lamp, rated up to 7W, and can be adjusted individually along its cable, up to 250cm long, so the whole chandelier can be arranged to suit the height of your room, whether that's a formal, even ring or a looser, staggered composition. It's a hardwired fixture and must be connected by a qualified electrician. It's rated IP20, so it's designed for dry indoor spaces only. The ceiling plate measures around 90cm across, with the arrangement of globes spreading to roughly 92cm, and each glass globe measuring about 14cm.

Where it works best

Given its scale, Miira 13 suits double height stairwells, large dining rooms, or entrance halls where it can be seen and appreciated from below as well as at eye level. It's a serious investment piece intended to anchor a room rather than sit quietly in the background.

Questions People Ask

How big is the Nuura Miira 13 chandelier? It is 920mm across, with globes 140mm in diameter and a drop of up to 2500mm. The ceiling plate is around 900mm across. Please check these measurements against your space before ordering.

Does the Miira 13 need an electrician to install it? We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. It is a hardwired Class I fitting with a ceiling plate and 13 globes, and it weighs 26kg.

What bulbs does it take, and can it be dimmed? Each of the 13 globes takes one G9 LED lamp of up to 7W, supplied separately. It can be dimmed if you use dimmable LED bulbs suitable for your dimmer circuit.

Can I return it if it is not right for my room? No. Nuura fittings are made to order, so they are non-returnable once ordered, unless an item arrives faulty.

Will the glass and brass look exactly like the photos? Not always. The opal white globes are mouth blown and the brass is hand finished, so slight variation from piece to piece is normal. The glass can also look different when lit, and screens show colour differently. If you are unsure about exact size or colour, please call customer service.

Can I use it in a bathroom, and how do I clean it? No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only. Clean it with a soft, dry cloth and avoid household cleaning products on the glass or metal.
