Nuura Miira 1 Light Pendant - Rock Grey & Optic Clear Glass

Miira 1 is the simplest expression of Nuura's Miira collection, a single mouth blown glass globe suspended from a slim cable and metal ceiling plate. It has the same clean, considered silhouette as the rest of the range, just distilled down to one light rather than a cluster or ring.

Rock Grey and optic clear glass

This version pairs a matte Rock Grey finish with optic clear glass, its embossed pattern catching the light and giving off a slightly playful, textured glow rather than a flat wash. The muted grey metal keeps the overall look understated, sitting comfortably in both warm and cool colour schemes.

How it works

Miira 1 takes a single G9 lamp, rated up to 7W, and hangs on a cable up to 250cm long, so it can be set to whatever drop suits your ceiling height. It comes complete with a ceiling plate. It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in, and it's rated IP20, meaning it's designed for dry indoor spaces only. The globe itself measures around 14cm across, with the pendant standing roughly 34.5cm tall.

Where it works best

Miira 1 works well hung low over a small dining table, in a stairwell, or grouped in twos or threes over a kitchen island at staggered heights. As a single pendant, it also makes a good bedside light hung either side of a bed instead of a table lamp.

Questions People Ask

Do I need an electrician to install the Miira 1 pendant? It is a hardwired ceiling fitting, and it is Class II. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

Can I return it if I change my mind? No. Nuura fittings are made to order, so they are non-returnable once ordered, unless an item arrives faulty.

What bulb does it take, and can it be dimmed? It takes one G9 LED lamp of up to 7W, supplied separately. It can be dimmed if you fit a dimmable LED lamp that suits your dimmer circuit.

How long is the cable, and how big is the glass globe? The cable can be up to 250cm long, so you can set the drop to suit your ceiling. The globe is 14cm across and the pendant is 34.5cm tall.

Is the glass really clear, and will each one look the same? The globe is optic clear glass with an embossed pattern, which gives a textured glow. It is mouth blown and the metal is hand finished, so small differences between pieces are normal.

Can I use it in a bathroom? No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.
