Nuura Miira 1 Light Pendant - Rock Grey & Optic Clear Glass

Miira 1 is the simplest expression of Nuura's Miira collection, a single mouth blown glass globe suspended from a slim cable and metal ceiling plate. It has the same clean, considered silhouette as the rest of the range, just distilled down to one light rather than a cluster or ring.

This version pairs a matte Rock Grey finish with optic clear glass, its embossed pattern catching the light and giving off a slightly playful, textured glow rather than a flat wash. The muted grey metal keeps the overall look understated, sitting comfortably in both warm and cool colour schemes.

How it works

Miira 1 takes a single G9 lamp, rated up to 7W, and hangs on a cable up to 250cm long, so it can be set to whatever drop suits your ceiling height. It comes complete with a ceiling plate. It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in, and it's rated IP20, meaning it's designed for dry indoor spaces only. The globe itself measures around 14cm across, with the pendant standing roughly 34.5cm tall.

Where it works best

Miira 1 works well hung low over a small dining table, in a stairwell, or grouped in twos or threes over a kitchen island at staggered heights. As a single pendant, it also makes a good bedside light hung either side of a bed instead of a table lamp.

About Nuura

Danish designer Sofie Refer founded Nuura in Copenhagen in 2017 with Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg, bringing together mouth blown glass and precise metalwork. Miira is the most versatile of its collections, ranging from this single pendant through to clusters and full chandeliers built on the same glass globe.
